DESCRIPTION:

God never meant for us to live haphazard lives.” With that bold statement, middle-aged Leanne Benner sets out to confess the wrinkles in her own bumpy coming of age.

She offers comfort and commiseration, but mostly she encourages grasping hold of faith and moving resolutely forward, shored up by Scripture readings which she suggests for daily reading.

Honest, challenging meditations for women and men.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Leanne Benner lives in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with her husband and two daughters. She graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a social work degree (B.A.) and worked at Bridgewater Home, Inc. as the director of social services before opting to be a stay-at-home mom. She writes freelance articles and church worship materials between teaching piano lessons, fulfilling church commitments, and keeping up with family responsibilities.

Some of the vignettes in this book arise out of Leanne’s first 10 years as a missionary kid in Ethiopia. She lives with constant friction between her third-world sensibilities and her middle-class, American lifestyle.
